02 / Applicable industry frameworks
LBMA Good Delivery: published application criteria include five years in existence, three years refining the relevant metal, at least 10 tonnes annual gold refining production, £15 million equivalent tangible net worth, satisfactory due diligence and implementation of the Responsible Sourcing Programme. Meeting these thresholds does not itself confer listing.
OECD Minerals Guidance and Gold Supplement: a risk-based supply-chain due-diligence framework, including independent third-party audit and reporting.
ISO/IEC 17025 concerns laboratory competence, impartiality and consistent operation. Laboratory accreditation must cover the relevant assay scope; ISO 9001 alone does not establish that competence.
ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 address quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety management respectively. Bahrain MOIC’s assay and hallmarking regime applies separately.

03 / Targets and dependencies
Hallmark readiness → confirmation of the applicable Ministry procedure, approved marking and successful submission.
Assay assurance → a named laboratory, a suitable method and an accreditation scope covering the work where accreditation is required.
Responsible-sourcing implementation → an adopted policy, accountable personnel, supplier records, risk decisions and an independent audit.
Management-system certification → implemented controls, operating evidence and an external certification decision. LBMA application → documented eligibility and completion of the full assessment. No application date is promised.
