Process
Vacuum-cast blank to deep-pressed biscuit: the sequence specified by the supplied portfolio.
01
01 / Material and refining
Identify the material and lot before processing. Agree the refining route and impurity controls against the input material and required fineness. The portfolio does not specify the chemical or electrolytic refining route, so none is asserted here.
02
02 / Sampling and assay
Representative sampling and suitable analysis establish fineness. Define the assay method, sample reference and acceptance criteria before approving metal for the next stage.
03
03 / Vacuum casting
The portfolio identifies a vacuum-cast gold blank. It does not provide vacuum level, temperature, cycle time or demonstrated porosity data. Those parameters require a validated process sheet.
04
04 / Deep pressing
Place the blank between the upper front die and the textured lower die, within the support guide. The hydraulic press forms the recessed front and reverse texture. The drawing specifies 0.10 mm biscuit-to-cavity clearance per side and 0.05–0.10 mm punch clearance per side; these are tool-design values, not finished-product tolerances.
05
05 / Inspection and release
The proposed release gate covers weight, dimensions, surface condition, assay reference and serial-to-batch registration. The portfolio requires a sample trial before mass production. Final acceptance limits, packaging and the document pack must be agreed before supply.
